The second annual Shane Cooley CD Drive to help the WRAR 105.5 Christmas Wishes Program is under way. Last year, with the help of Rappahannock High School Beta Club, we collected over 380 CDs for needy children and teens who otherwise could not afford the gift of music for Christmas. The WRAR Christmas Wishes Program is held annually by the radio station to help fulfill area needy children's Christmas wish lists. Hundreds of children are granted their wishes by listener contributions. CDs are among the most asked for gifts by the children and exposes them to music they might not have listened to before.

Beginning November 1, collection boxes, brightly wrapped in Christmas wrap, will be placed in area schools and businesses. New and used CDs may be contributed in their original cases. So start rooting through your music now and you will be surprised at how much you can help. The drive ends December 1.
